We started Monta in 2020 to offer EV drivers a better charging experience. Today, we believe everyone should navigate the EV ecosystem confidently, and we're here to make that happen.

2026

Monta ranks among TIME's World's Top GreenTech Companies of 2026.
Launch of Monta AI, embedding intelligent decision-making across operations, pricing, and energy optimisation.

2025

Monta achieves SOC 2 Type II certification.
Monta reaches one million users across drivers, operators, admins, and installers.
We surpass 40,000,000 total charge sessions on the platform.

2024

We partner with JP Morgan to strengthen our enterprise ecosystem.
We achieve 99.99% platform availability.
We enter the US market, our first expansion beyond Europe.

2023

Monta raises €80 million in Series B funding.
Monta becomes B Corp certified.
Our roaming network grows to over 500,000 charge points, covering 73% of Europe.
We launch PowerBank to stabilise the grid and prevent blackouts.

2022

We expand into the French market.
We introduce Dynamic Pricing, linking charging prices to real-time electricity costs.
We hit 100,000 charge sessions in a single month and surpass 1,000,000 total charges.
Monta raises €15 million in Series A and an additional €30 million in Series A+.

2021

We expand internationally into the UK, Norway, Germany, and Sweden.
Zapp Mobility becomes Monta's first official partner.
We close €4.3 million in seed funding.

2019

Monta is founded in Copenhagen, Denmark.
