The Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 introduced a mandatory open data requirement for CPOs in the UK. The regulation requires essential information about public charge points — such as location, status, and pricing — to be made openly accessible, improving transparency and supporting EV driver decision-making.
What is included in the open data export?
Open data is exported for your whole operator, covering all of your charge points in one export.
The regulation requires CPOs to report on 49 fields of data, separated between Location (table 9), EVSE (table 10), and Connector (table 11). The Monta open data export currently covers 40 of the 49 fields.
The following 9 fields must be filled in manually after exporting the file:
How do I export open data?
- Log in to Monta Hub.
- Navigate to Charge Points.
- Click Export.
- For Export type, select Open data.
- Click Export. The report is generated and emailed to you once ready.
- Download the file and fill in the 9 fields that require manual input before publishing.
