How do I manage energy sites in the Energy Portal?

Last updated: 4 May 2026

An energy site is a physical location containing one or more charge points. It is the top-level container in the Energy Portal — everything else (nodes, EVSEs, charge intents, meters) belongs to a site.

Site settings

Each site has the following configuration options:

  • Voltage — the supply voltage for the site (e.g. 230 V single-phase, 400 V three-phase)
  • Timezone — used to correctly apply scheduled charge intents and time-based limits
  • Country area — determines which energy market is used for price-optimised smart charging
  • Default charge intent — the fallback charging behaviour for any session where no more specific intent matches
  • Team — sites are scoped to a team; use team filtering to view sites across multiple teams

Site dashboard

The site dashboard shows key metrics at a glance:

  • Active sessions — charge points currently in use
  • Total power draw — real-time site-wide consumption
  • Topology summary — node count, EVSE count, connected meters

Site comments

You can add internal comments to a site for notes visible to your team. Comments appear in the site header and are useful for flagging outstanding configuration steps, maintenance notes, or context for other operators.

Finding a site

Use the search at the top of the portal to find sites by name. You can also filter sites by team membership.
