How do I manage tariffs on the Dynamic tariffs page?

The Dynamic tariffs page (Pricing & Growth → Dynamic tariffs) is where operators browse, create, and manage hourly electricity tariffs in Monta Hub. Tariffs set time-based rates so that grid and electricity costs are reflected in charging prices throughout the day. A tariff created here can then be applied inside a price group to affect what drivers pay.

The page is permission-gated. Use the country selector at the top to filter tariffs by market.

The three tabs

Public

Tariffs maintained by Monta for each country — time-of-day electricity transport tariffs updated per market. These are read-only: click View details to see how prices change across the day, but you cannot edit them. To use a public tariff, add it to a price group.

Operator

Tariffs your operator has built. Here you can create, edit, and delete tariffs. Any tariff you create is available to add to price groups across your accounts.

Spot market

Live day-ahead market prices for the selected country — the past 24 hours and the next 48 hours. This is a reference view only. Nothing on this tab affects what drivers pay. To price charging at the real-time electricity market rate, create a dynamic (spot price) price group.

The tariff list

The table shows: Name, Week (the tariff schedule), Type, Current price, VAT/Tax (filter: All / Inc. / Ex.). Use Search tariffs… to filter by name.

Create a tariff

  1. In Monta Hub, go to Pricing & Growth → Dynamic tariffs in the sidebar.
  2. Select the Operator tab.
  3. Click New in the top right.
  4. Enter a name for the tariff.
  5. Specify whether rates include VAT (value-added tax).
  6. Select a Season range — the period when the tariff is active.
  7. Add the tariff rates — time-based charges that apply on top of the base price.
  8. Configure the Daily schedule — how rates are distributed across hours of the day.
  9. Click Save.

Changes to a tariff can take up to 5 minutes to take effect. Tariff prices are cached, so allow a few minutes after saving before new prices apply to charging sessions.

Edit a tariff

  1. On the Operator tab, find the tariff in the list.
  2. Click the row actions menu and select Edit tariff.
  3. Make your changes and click Save.

Delete a tariff

  1. On the Operator tab, find the tariff.
  2. Click the row actions menu and select Delete tariff.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Deleting a tariff removes it from all price groups that currently include it.

Apply a tariff to a price group

Tariffs created here are applied inside price groups. To add a tariff to a price group, see How do I add an hourly tariff to a price group?
